A blue haze
Deliberately beautiful
Spilling and soaking
One big gouache
Arches up and over
Lineless and limpid

What ought to be
Glossy with the sweet
Reconciling to what
We shall be
Vacuous and impotent
Wandering around

As the light grows milky
Obscures itself and us
Under the veil of beauty
We look for rest
And will sink into it
Unknowing
