rooms

in this house for which I have the keys
in this apartment all the doors are ajar how-
ever often I creep across the floorboards
only half-intentionally counting the doors
I always seem to end up back at the same
place when I come back after days or weeks
something has been changed or so it seems
where I (at least I thought so) turned the
heating down everything is warm and covered
in dust and on the table there are sometimes
new notes in handwriting that I don't know in
two colours and secret signals flying to and
fro but never to me when I can't find the light
in the hallway straight away something goes
through me and I yell out loud as though
a cold gaze were grazing me from behind
and isn't it strange with all the many leads
and cables plugs and what have you leading
into the crumbling wall that tonight is actually
the first time I have ever fallen

zweierlei farben u. geheime winke gehn hin
