it's out of this world         the photographer's eye
the syntax of vision dictating the subject         (since
the poem can only seek questions not presume
to provide answers)         the iconic image         (an
airliner hitting a tower         a man falling         a
woman fleeing a village her napalmed skin
burning)         can only question how the eye sees
the image on my monitor         on a gallery wall
too easy to overlook         (what transaction's
going on)         the eye         aligned with the shutter
release         the before & after of the sequence
(cropping & editing)         the blast of colour that's a
glimpse of distant galaxies         the compression
of the image to the point of hurting
